Thrasher Lure Series
The Thrasher is a heavily keeled weighted tapered skirted trolling lure with a front angle that is often referred to as a “hard cut”. Most lures have a 80 degree+ face, while the Thrasher is less than 70 degrees. The result is a highly active lure that draws the immediate attention of gamefish.
The Thrasher moves a lot of water due to its oversized face. The design of the lure tapers from the face towards the skirts and as a result the head shake during its trolling cycle is intense. While it performs well in calm conditions, it’s a superb choice when conditions get choppy and there’s a swell. A first choice lure in unfavourable conditions. While the Thrasher does perform exceptionally well in several trolling positions, sea conditions alter and boat configurations vary widely. Try the Thrasher first in the Short Corner or Long Corner position.
